Mike The Boss

I met you when we were both around 19 or 20, working in a University.  I remember you were doing your emprentership as a electrician, they were very few black people working there then; So it was only natural for us to connect and form a friendship that lasted for nearly 40 years. 

You were my introduction to the raving scene, and South London. Starting with the boat dances you use to hold as MJR, way before the weekenders. I've been on a minimum of 18 weekenders, (lost count how many) They were always great, be it wales, Devon, Gt Yarmouth or Southport. Mainly held around my birthday. I give thanks 😊 🙏 for that, my birthdays will never be the same.

The last time I saw you was via zoom for my birthday. The last time I spoke with you was October 2020, organising Portugal 2021 holiday. The last text I received from you was 20th December, 2020 with the message ending with the words "KEEP SAFE  🙏"

I am truly missing you Mikey 😢 you were one of my longest friends on this earth.  Your legacy and the joy you brought to thousands of people is tremendous.
